Massimiliano Allegri is the coach of Juventus FC.
Allegri arrived at Juventus at the start of the 2014/2015 season after being sacked as coach of AC Milan (after 4 years there). In his first season at Juventus he led the team to win the Serie A title and the Italian Cup, and to reach the Champions League final against Barcelona.
During the 2015/2016 season he led Juventus to win what we might term an Italian “Treble”, with victory in the Serie A, the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup.
To all this we may add the team’s performance in the UEFA Champions League, being knocked out only at the quarter-final stage by Bayern Munich, in a hard fought match in which, despite holding a two goal lead, Allegri’s team were caught out in the last minute of the match to force the game into extra time where they lost.
During his career he has won various titles: three Italian championships (AC Milan – 2010/2011; Juventus – 2014/2015 and 2015/2016), two Italian Super Cups (AC Milan – 2011; Juventus – 2015) and two Italian Cups (Juventus – 2014/2015 and 2015/2016). Among the individual awards we can also find a “Panchina d’oro” in 2009 and a Best coach award at the AIC Gran Gala of Football in 2011.
