Walter Mazzarri is an Italian coach who is currently at Watford in the Premier League. Before starting his experience in the Premiership, Mazzarri led Sampdoria, Napoli and Inter Milan. With Sampdoria he qualified for the UEFA Cup during the 2007/2008 season and, during the following season, was in the Italian Cup final against Lazio.
At Napoli he took the club to sixth place in the Serie A, winning qualification to the Europa League in the 2009/2010 season. The following year he led the team to qualify for the Champions League and to win the Italian Cup. After the 2012/2013 season, in which Napoli managed once again to qualify for the Champions League, the coach decided to leave the club to move to Inter Milan.
With Inter Mazzarri managed to reach the Europa League in 2013. Despite this, starting from the following season, the coach started to face various problems and also his relationship with the fans started to show signs of strain. In addition, the poor results in the Serie A led to his dismissal after 11 games in the 2014/2015 season. In May 2016 he signed a 3-year contract with Watford.
During his career he won an Italian Cup with Napoli, during the 2011/2012 season. In 2012 he was awarded a National Enzo Bearzot Award.
