Robert Lewandowski Maradona Award for Best Goal Scorer of the Year
Awarded by: His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council and His Excellency Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice President of Dubai Sports Council.
The Polish forward earned an additional prize, the Special Award dedicated to the memory of Maradona as Best Goal Scorer of the Year.
This year Lewandowski was unrivalled in this category, excelling as only the third player to score more than 60 goals in a calendar year, after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
