Food for Champions 2016 – The flavours of Italian cuisine
For the Awards Ceremony, Globe Soccer organised once again a delicious accompanying gala dinner. For the night with the stars, twenty of the best international chefs were put into play under the captaincy of Italian 2-Michelin star chef Carlo Cracco.
“Food for Champions” brought together chefs from various parts of the world, and above all from Italy, for a triumph – among the other products – of Made in Italy food. The other guest chefs, together with Carlo Cracco, were Cosimo Danese and Andrea Falcone (Bice), Luca De Negri (Four Seasons at Jumeirah Beach), Leonardo Maltese (Bice Mare), Joao Garcia (La Cantine), Reif Othman (The Experience and Play), Steven Peter (JW Marriot Marquise), Colin Clague (Ruya), Paolo Bellamio (Trattoria Toscana), Fortunato Ostacolo (Caffe Lounge Italiano), Russell Impiazzi (Galerie Lafayettes), Hadi El Awar (Eataly), Roland Puse (Coya), Andrea Mugavero and Alessandro Miceli (Roberto’s).
Guests were thus able to experience the flavours of the best international cuisines at various cooking points which offered products of every type, from pizza to Italian dairy products, to the coffee offered by Lavazza.
The message which Globe Soccer wished to transmit through this initiative is tied to the importance of a healthy diet as an essential element for a healthy life, both for the football stars and for sports people in general.
“Food for Champions” has thus become an integral part of the gala event for the Globe Soccer Awards, as a gastronomic and cultural initiative which involves the stars of cooking and the stars of football, who this year too offered entertainment and had the chance to underline the importance of the values of a healthy life as an example for everyone.
